Fine art, antiques and decorative art: auction prices

We have recorded 14 auction sales with a price of 11 models by 6 makes in this category, and 1 lot is at auction now. Pick a make, or a model below.

This category covers objects bought for their artistic, historic or collector interest, such as paintings, prints, sculpture, furniture, coins, stamps, comics and books, together with wine, champagne and spirits. They often come up in estate clearances, company liquidations and court ordered sales alongside the machines and vehicles of a business. Buyers range from private collectors to dealers who resell through galleries and specialist shops. On a used piece the buyer looks at condition, authenticity and provenance, signatures, editions and any restoration, and for wine and spirits at how the bottles were stored, the fill level, the labels and the capsules.
