Saab was a Swedish car maker from Trollhättan, which grew out of the aircraft maker Saab and built cars from the late 1940s until 2011. It was known for its turbocharged engines, safety and distinctive designs such as the 96, the 900, the 9-3 and the 9-5. Car production ended after the company went bankrupt in 2011. Founded 1945. Trollhättan, Sweden.
